Has anyone else complained to MapInfo that the MI Pro sort routine doesn't work correctly? When I perform a sort using multiple variables the results are incorrect. The data is sorted correctly on the first field but sometimes it's not sorted correctly on the second field (it's erratic). It places the first record of the second level sort as the last record in that grouping. This seems to happen only when both fields are indexed. What a mess this creates. To work around this I have to unindex my datafiles before sorting then rebuild the indexes. Doesn't MapInfo test their software before shipping it out?
