Lee,

Using C++ for the work you've described is making a relatively simple, quick
task into a tricky, tricky one. Depending on the exact situation, a somewhat
customized workspace file could do the job, for example.

Do you need the job security? Use C++ and God bless you. Otherwise you named
an arsenal of tools that already work well together.

Questions:
What versions of SpatialWare, Oracle 8, exactly?

Where is your SpatialWare support? Still have some time on the support
agreement?

Where is your MapMarker support? Still have some time on the support agreement?

By "without human intervention", do we mean, "none", or do we mean, "a human
will press one button for each download:geocode:upload process" ?

Would it be okay to geocode the data in Oracle without downloading it first?
Save steps, tastes great.

My first suggestion is to take this whole discussion, print it out, and hand it
to whoever supplies your MapInfo technical support. They could be able to make
this work, real quick-like.

If your support contract(s) are goners, I for one will be willing to help you
in exchange for the information I just got from www.healthstreet.com (thank
you). As long as you know that if the solution is not too easy or quick, I may
say something like, "Now we're getting into my fee-based services", because
this is how I bring home the bread. I doubt that'll happen, based on your
description.
