I have a Visual Basic application. I want to do two things:
1. I want to draw different maps, and redraw the maps in an open MapInfo,
depending on events in my VB application. Is this possible, and how?
2. I want to click on a zone in the MapInfo map. Depending on what zone was
selected, I want to make some calculations in my VB application. Is it
possible to somehow communicate what zone was selected in MapInfo to an
outside application? How?
I realize that this may be a Frequently Asked Question, but I have not
found this in the FAQs I have read. Due to server error, I could not read
the MapInfo-L archive, either.
More generally, where do I find information on how to integrate MapInfo
with my Visual Basic application using OLE Automation? Can anyone give me
any pointers on where to start looking?
