Hi Adrian, and other mappers.

Sorry I can't help on the actual proviewer product, but I have just
purchased a 10 user licence pack (first of many) of a new product called GIS
MapViewer. Developed by ICL in response from the UK Local Government GIS
User Group. It uses MapX and visual basic. You can open MapInfo tables
direct or set them up in the equivalent of a workspace i.e. geoset which can
be generated in MapInfo. It is very user friendly, very configurable, allows
printing to layouts you define using the MapViewer's Layout Utility. It is I
believe an exciting new product (OK it's not free - but you only get what
you pay for) which will allow many staff in Bury Council to have easy access
and print facilities to spatial information.
If you do want to know more about the product Ring ICL (Brian Kliner) on
0161 230 5734. I have been beta testing the product here at Bury If you want
any info excluding the sales pitch on how I found the product and what type
of data I'v put through it please don't hesitate to either give me a call on
0161 253 5345 or e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hope this helps.

Marie Lilley.
