MI Speed of Mapinfo using Hardware?
Dear Listers,
I am attempting to use large (30mb) tables of geology and vegetation,
and attempting
queries on both ie geology subset intersects vegetation.
After 1.15 hours I gave up waiting for the computer to process the
query.
My computer is a Pentium 2 300 128mb ram, NT4sp3
Question
what is an affordable upgrade that will reduce my query times.
Is MapInfo written to use multi threading? ie a twin processor?

One thing which may significantly speed up your queries is to make all
your tables indexed. This is designed to speed querying. See the
documentation provided with MapInfo for further info.
