Hi Dmitry,

I've done some workong with layout when I am programming
Printing programs to MapInfo.

Peter Laulund has already mentioned how to acces and change
the object in the layout, so this I won't get into.

When I have some textobjects in my special layout that I would
like to find again I create them with some special characters before
and after. In this way I can make my program search for these special
charaters. I use these special parentis [ ] as my markers.

In this way I can also include my special texts in a textobject with normal
text. E.g. If I in my layout have a text with the following string:
Printed at Scale 1 : [SCALE]
I use my program to find the special text [SCALE] and replace this
value with the mapscale at which the map was printed. The result
might be :
Printed at Scale 1: 25000

I hope this is to any help for you.

Best regards,

Peter
