Hello
Just joined the list. I'm currently working on the
National Population Census of the Solomon Islands using MapInfo 4.5 Busy
dividing the country up into Enumeration Areas. Not a lot of technical support
out here!
Got a problem:
Picture the scene, lots of workspaces, each one covers a ward or part of
a
ward. We label them nice and neatly at the appropriate scale, set up a
layout window for printing, we give the copy to the area manager to check,
we wait for the updates to come in form the field, all is well. Some weeks later we receive the map to update, we open up the workspace, it is still fine in all respects but the labels are all over the place, label lines seem to criss cross the
screen completely randomly. We have nearly 6000 villages, all need a label,
autolabel does some of the work but there is still a large amount of extra
work to do. The problem hasn't affected all the provinces (yet) but that just
adds to the confusion.

The actual tables are unaffected, just the label definitions stored in the
workspaces
Any ideas?
Many Thanks
