Colleagues,

I'm researching Maptitude whilst planning a new Maptitude listserv.
Thought this little February exchange on gis.infosystems.com might
interest folks here. (Don't worry, folks, I'm still primarily a MapInfo
user, because that's where my knowledge and efficiency (er, expertise?)
lies. I'm venturing into Maptitude for its potential as a web mapping
program. There's no user listserv, so I thought I'd start one.
Information on that in a week or so.)

-----
MapInfo, ArcView and Maptitude are functionally equivalent for basic
desktop mapping; but Maptitude (www.caliper.com) is 1/3 the price and much
easier to use in my opinion.
