Ladies & gentlemen, (Bill & Antoine in particular),

I came across Coordinate Transform on Friday at ;

http://www.connect.net/jbanta/sharewar.html

The neatest bit of coordinate conversion software I've seen for a while.
This should do your x/y to lat/long switch.

It produces decimal degrees and dd.mm.ss numbers, but beware of the
display for dd.mm.ss; what looks like 58.12345
will actually be 58.12''34.5", this had me scratching my head for a few
minutes late on Friday afternoon.

Also, if, like me, you find yourself switching decimal degrees and
dd.mm'ss" numbers regularly, try out the
degree minute second converter on ;

http://www.mentorsoftwareinc.com/freebie/FREE1198.HTM

My scientific calculator with the dd.mm.ss switch might stay in my
desk-drawer for a while now.

Whilst you're there, you could do worse than check out Tralaine coordinate
conversion software as well, I've used it for
years (in DOS form) and can recommend it (and Norm Olsen's expertise).

I hope this is useful,

Regards,
