I have seen several times co-listers asking for buffer application that
would have straight ends, or that would draw on one side of a line only.
I just finished HALF BUFFER that builds (on lines and plines only)
rectangular buffers on the chosen side (right or left depending on line
direction). Only "external" angles are rounded, not the ends. Width is a
constant or can be proportional to the values of a given column.
If anyone is interested in it, he will have to risk this early version and
play a little bit the role of a guibea pig, but he may have the satisfaction
of contributing to refinement of that new tool.
