Martyn,

Assuming your client just wants to import the table on a one-off basis, then
just select MS Access file type in the open table dialogue box and your
client will then be able to select which table they want to import from that
database. Going into Table Maintenance for the new table will allow you to
assign a coordinate system to the table so that geocoding and create points
etc. can be performed.

If you want to have your MapInfo table updated from the access table or vice
versa, then you need an ODBC link. This is also quite straightforward
between MI and Access.

Subject: MI MS Access

Hi all,
I have a client who is wanting to 'map' his real estate development.
Like 95% of the world he is on PC whilst I'm one of the other 5%. So a
bit of guidance from list members would be appreciated. He has an
Access Database - can Mapinfo for PC read native Access Databases or
does it require an ODBC hook up?
Regards,
Martyn
