Hi all,

I have a file of polygons and each polygon has a numeric ID. I need to
create a file of text objects, where the text is the ID of the polygons
and is positioned at the centre of polygons and is 2 metres tall (in map
units, not real world units!). By setting the appropriate zoom and font
size I can autolabel each polygon at the centre and 2 m high. I then
tried using the Labeller.mbx which comes with MI Pro 4.5 to transfer the
labels into a file of text objects. The problem is that Labeller.mbx
seems to only transfer the labels that are currently displayed in the
map window. If I zoom out to view the entire polygon layer (and hence
all the labels) the size of the labels is increased. Then when I shrink
the text objects created to the size I need they are no longer at the
centre of the polygon - in fact about 250 m out in both x and y
directions.

Manual editing is out of the question (too many polygons). I don't have
MapBasic.What can I do? Help...
