I started writing an mbo that I realized basically mimics the functionality
of the "Preferred View" drop-down box in the File | Open Table dialog.
For instance, given a table name and preference like this:
Call Preferred_View("myTable", "Automatic")
or this:
Call Preferred_View("myTable", "New Mapper")
... it would open the appropriate window or add a map layer to an existing
window (or do nothing) - whatever the second argument instructs.
This seems like a basic function.... has anyone written it already?
