Hi, We're having trouble printing a long axis plot on an HP DesignJet 1055cm. Anybody have a success story on this? Our layout is wider than tall (55"x30"). I have tried using the Custom PostScript page size; everything looks fine in MI layout view, but the plotter chops the map at the 36" mark. I've tried another layout which is taller than wide (35"x55") and it gets chopped at the 48" mark. I have also tried to use the built in oversize form sizes (like 36"x60", 36x108", etc) but whenever the page length, in any direction, goes over 56" MapInfo shows the whole page as unplottable, eg. it's all gray. ArcView plots 60" tall no problem. The driver is AdobePS v5.1 and the PPD is dated 26 March, 1999. Host OS is NT4.0sp4. MapInfo is v5.0.1. A few years ago when we had an HP 650, and GIS software other than MapInfo, in order to get a long axis plot we had to actually rotate the layout (and map, totally screwing up the coordinate space) so it was taller than wide. It had something to do with the plotter's inability to rotate a large raster image (it could only rotate vectors). I could not find a way to try this hack method in MapInfo. Thanks in advance, -matt will sum. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
