I have a P-2 Dual 350 on which I am calling MapInfo OLE from a VB6 ActiveX object. I
am importing a mid and mif and using MapInfo OLE on the server to create points.
This runs fine on two of the three servers we have. All are running NT 4.0 Server
Enterprise Edition, Service Pack 5. I call MapInfo OLE and the points are created.
However, the specific server above will handle the mid and mif files very quickly if I
open MapInfo and run from there, but when I run OLE either to that server or on that
server MapInfo runs VERY slowly. This is a 10 second job on the other two servers,
and a 12 minute one on this one. This one is the most powerful of all the servers.
I cannot find any settings that are different on the various servers.
Any suggestions?
