Hello Giorgio,

1) There has been a post recently on mapinfo-l about a free OCX capable of
generating MB code from the VB environment; I did not keep that post
unfortunately but as I repost your message, there will certainly be someone
to guide you
2) To capture existing dialogs and create a (roughly) equivalent in MB, a
tool did exist a long time ago, with name dlgsnap ("dialog snapshooter"); I
think it is available on the FTP site; it needed some MB coding around the
generated stuff but was useful in positioning things accurately (hard to do
in MB); if you cannot locate it, tell me and I will try to find it for you;
very basic
3) Best solution to me for building dialogs is to create a DLL in a language
capable of this and call it from MB; VC++ or Delphi can do it, not sure
about VB; of course, you will thereby have nice dialog boxes but some MB
specific things will be hard to mimic (Pickers...)
