I have a client who is concerned with the areas and boundary figures quoted by the Ordnance Survey not giving a true reflection of the area that needs to be farmed. Essentially he wants to be able to calculate an area that takes into account the profile of the land, so that in a more hilly area the surface area that is exposed will be greater than if the land were assumed to be flat. Is there any feature within Vertical Mapper than will enable me to do this. Regarding the boundaries I have tried to create a cross section of a boundary which gives horizontal distance and a true distance (taking the elevation into account), although I don't quite know why the horizontal distance doesn't correspond with the polyline length from which I am creating the cross section. Any help would me much appreciated. --------------------------------------- Ian Macey Dreweatt Neate mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.dreweatt-neate.co.uk Telephone: 01635 263050 Facsimile: 01635 263090 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
