Sami,
Sorry, but the ellipsoid of reference used in Myanmar is Everest 1830 where a =
6,377,276.345 meters (6,974,310.6 Indian yards) and 1/f = 300.8017.
The Datum is the Indian Datum of 1916. Nothing at all (geodetically speaking)
happened in 1956 in Burma (Myanmar).
I'll bet MapInfo DOES support Everest 1830 which IS what you really need.
