Have I missed something or is it that once that you have created a hill
shade for a grid in Vertical Mapper, you cannot reset the hill shade
properties.
I have a nice terrain model of a coastal plain, and wanted to use the hill
shading as a background to a map. When I originally selected to use hill
shading, I simply accepted the default settings for asimuth, brightness
etc. to see what it looked like. It was too dark because I want to have a
subtle backdrop to the map.
Now when I go back to change those settings, it brings up the dialog to
change the settings, I choose different settings and it then does nothing
(the first time it spent some time calculating the hill shading). Is there
something I am missing? I have downloaded and applied the 2.1.1 upgrade,
but with no effect. I am currently overlaying a white transparent screen
over the top of it to diffuse its intensity, but the output is not as good
as it should be.
Thanks
Robert.
