Gary,

I personnally recommend using ASP, because you can do so much more stuff
along with your application.
It may take you a little longer to get started, but it is worth it. ASP is
very powerful and clean environment (the only thing you need on the server
is Microsft Internet Information Server (IIS), aside from MapXSite.
There is a ton of great web resources to get you going quickly with asp on
the web (check www.activeserverpages.com)
Here's quickly some advantages of using ASP :
- External database / recordsets access using ADO
- Include files (very handy !)
- Easy management of sessions, applications and page scoped objects.
- Easy manipulation of forms (thought the request object) and querystrings
