The best way to do this would be to export the table to MIF (MapInfo 
interchange format) and then use the Transform clause to move the object. Here 
you can specify an X and Y displacement. I think the exact command is in the 
MapInfo Users Guide.

I need to move a set of objects exactly 2000km north. Could you please let me
know what is the function in mapbasic for the select all objects and move all

them to some required exact distance, just like moving them in the edit mood of
