We are finding difficulties loading MapInfo custom symbols. After creating a new bitmap (16 or 256 colour) and attempting to load the new symbol using "Reload Symbols" (if saved in the CustSym directory) or "Reload Custom Symbols From ..." (within our own directory), it does not become available. Our only workaround has been to edit an existing symbol. We have tried renaming a standard MI custom symbol within the CustSymb directory, but once renamed Mapinfo fails to recognise the original bitmap. Please help.
