We have recently purchased VM and are trying to use it to explore the
relationship between sales outlets and central stockists around the UK. The
outlets do not necessarily have any link to the stockists but are possibly
effected by the number of sales people at the central stockist. Basically
we are trying to model which outlet is under the "influence" of which
stockist.

So far we've built a huff model using a weight factor based on nearest
outlet and number of sales people. The problem is that when we put contours
over the grid surface, because some of the contours cover more than 1
outlet, it becomes impossible to decipher which outlet fits into which
central stockists catchment.

Does anyone know if, besides fiddling around for hours, if there is anyway
of generating mutually exclusive contours around the central stockists and
also if ther is a way to easily allocate the stockists id_number to them?

Alternately, does anyone have any ideas as to how we establish if a contour
envelops more than 1 central stockist?

If anyone has any ideas, and if you have a clue what I'm talking about, i'd
be gratefull
