I am trying to try out GeoObjects 2 by Bluemarble Geographics www.bluemarblegeo.com And I say "try" because Bluemarble seems pretty thin on getting you started. They have a competitive upgrade from MapXtreme and MapObjects. It all looks appealing, but I found the documentation in the demo and the downloaded product to be very thin. Having said that I am not a developer, terribly internet savvy - although I have a grasp of GIS and certainly about what I want to do. Responses to questions to BLuemarble appear as eMAIL form letters with little to do with my original question. I am surprised. I have asked Bluemarble, I guess, 20 times about the locations of sites that use GeoObjects. No response. So ... do YOU know of sites? I can't spend time and money on the product, appealing as it is, until I get some critique and see if anyone is actually using it. The demo I downloaded is exactly what I need but of course that is not enough to proceed with a development effort. For the site I am planning, a disease atlas, we plan to use MapXteme (but with limited seats) for high end users that need all that MapXtreme claims to do (emphasis on claims) and maybe Bluemarble's creation for other things. The demo worked great (once I decoded the documentation) but the people don't seem to really be there. Anyone out there know of sites, have comments, or explain why BLuemarble can't fax me price quotes, or respond to several questions I have asked them? If they do not have their act together, I need to know it - maybe they are just all on vacation - it there is some other problem I need to know that too. I am wondering if they are really in business! But I emphasize that what I have seen looks very positive and there might really be something there to seriously consider for GIS internet wannabes. Hopefully you all have good news for me. My eMAIL is below if you don't want to comment "on-line" Thanks a lot Richard E.
