Check to make sure it is not a problem with overlapping
labels.
These can be turned on or off in the layer control, labels dialog
If overlapping is not permitted, some labels will not appear
This behaviour is consistent back to verion 3 I think

Dear Listers,
Does anybody know of any changes to the way that MapInfo
deals with autolabels in 5.5 thats different from 5.0.
An important client of mine is experiencing problems with
labels for a large dataset. When they zoom entire layer the labels are
disappearing even though their is no zoom layering set for them in the layer
control. This did not happen with the same table in 5.0. Is there
anything different going on behind the scenes?
Any ideas?
