Mark,

We've talked to many, many MapObjects and MapX developers since we've offered our free
upgrade to GeoObjects. Just my thoughts, but it seems that MapObjects LT is offered
as a loss-leader to get ESRI developers into MapObjects with the associated $100
runtimes. MapX seems to be offered primarily to enterprise developers (you need to
buy at least 40 runtimes at $100 a pop which to some extent dictates the deployment
environment). There seems to be no percieved need for a limited MapX offering within
this space.

You might want to consider GeoObjects for your thematic mapping application. It
offers native TAB support (among others). You can get a free developers kit if you
have purchased MapX or MapObjects.
