Hi list, I wish to work on *https://trac.mapnik.org/ticket/112 *which is about adding support for indic character rendering in mapnik. I have been helped by springmeyer and I have setup a build on my machine. To start with, I am looking into include/mapnik/font_engine_freetype.hpp I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron with latest SVN code for mapnik. I would request the list to provide me anything which can be useful in this. I would also request you to guide me in testing the mapnik library without everytime replacing/installing the systemwide mapnik library.
