Hello all, I've searched around and I can't find an answer. Has anyone done any tests as to the performance differences between using a shapefile with an index and PostGIS when rendering with mapnik. I ask as my experience with Arcmap tells me that geodatabases are 2 to 3 times faster to draw over shapefiles....I'm currently using shapefiles, but if there is a large performance gain I may set up a PostGIS database. Thanks!
