Hi list,

in addition to this discussion:

http://www.nabble.com/300-dpi-images-with-Mapnik--td20580318.html , I'm
investigating how I can generate a fully vector-based printable map with
Mapnik. The Cairo-renderer works fine, but unfortunately my PointSymbolizers
and Linepatternsymbolizers are using rasterfiles (type="png") for its
symbology and so I only get a "hybridmap".

Is it possible to use vector symbols as "type" in symbolizers like svg or
pdf? Another approach could be using fonts instead of vectorfiles.

regards
Jürgen
