Not that I am aware of. Feel free to create a trac ticket on this
describing further what you are looking for.
Note that there is a label cache used in Mapnik but purely for
computation of collision avoidance between labels. See the
'clear_label_cache' parameter of a Mapnik Layer: http://trac.mapnik.org/wiki/XMLConfigReference#Layer
