Thanks again Dan for giving me the heads up that 0.6.0 doesn't include
libxml2.

I presume that when Artem had problems compiling, he found some issue with
the win32 distribution at http://xmlsoft.org/sources/win32/  Any idea what
the problem was. I *might* be able to persuade a colleague to take a look -
if I can just tweak his curiosity enough...

Meanwhile I'll find some way to  preprocess my entity laden mapfile.
