This is a call for testing prior to the 0.6.1 release (http://trac.mapnik.org/roadmap
), slated for the end of this week.
If you are able to test, please check out from trunk, and let us know
promptly if you run into any build problems or notable test failures.

cd mapnik-testing
python scons/scons.py configure
python scons/scons.py
sudo python scons/scons.py install
# Then to test:
python tests/run_tests.py
There are several known failures that are safe to ignore for now:
ERROR: python_tests.object_test.test_stroke_pickle
ERROR: python_tests.object_test.test_textsymbolizer_pickle
FAIL: python_tests.object_test.test_shapefile_properties
FAILED (TODO=4, errors=2, failures=1)
# And rundemo
cd demo/python
python rundemo.py
Please report any problems by email or trac tickets against the 0.6.1
milestone.
