Hello,

I write you because I am facing some troubles with shields and text
especially when they are placed on the top left corner of a tile.

In many cases, my 60% buffer around tiles works fine to avoid cut
labels/shields but when the labled geometry comes in the top left corner of
my tile it's often cut (but not always)...

The "avoid edges" attributes doesn't change anything so I am a bit lost.
More strange, if I allow the overlap it helps a bit for point placed text
but this involves unwanted overlapping behavior.

Does someone have any tips ?

(About my environment :

I work under Windows XP.

I have developed my own tool for generating tiles in c++.

It's a console application that takes a XML, some shape/raster files and a
few other parameters to generate my tiles.

The styles are defined in XML but layers are dynamically created according
to the shape/rasters I pass to the application.)

Regards,
