About the Windows installation Zip package: http://download.berlios.de/mapnik/mapnik-0.6.1-win32-py25.zip
I just noticed that the folder 'demo', mentioned in the helpful Windows installation notes here: http://trac.mapnik.org/wiki/WindowsInstallation appears to be missing. It *IS *present in 0.6.0 and the linux packages for 0.6.1. Not a big deal but a tad confusing for beginners slavishly following the instructions!
