I have found how to create legends in mapnik through XML file, but what if I want to use python/c++ API for the same , is it possible ? Because if it is not possible, then I am afraid how will I be able to dynamically load legends e.g. If there are checkboxes and clicking a checkbox displays a legend ! I saw in a XML file we can write a query like "SELECT * from tablename" in the <TABLE> tag. I tried to write the same query instead of the table name in a python file, it didn't work ? What's the way to write a query in a python file instead of the table name ?
