While trying to reproduce the bug I realized that I forgot to change one reference to Mapnik from 0.7.0 to 0.7.1 I had changed everything but my own project ... So I fixed this and now everything work fine. Sorry to have reported this too fast. So from my point of view Mapnik 0.7.1 works perfectly on windows. =) Nicolas.
