Hi all, I've read your ideas for GSoC 2010 and got interested on the Python bindings one, and would like to submit an application to work on that on GSoC. What do you guys think could be the starting point for implementing this idea, and what would be the main challenges?
I have good skills with Python programming and C++. I've worked with Python/C bindings before using Cython. I'm new to Mapnik, but I have some understanding of mapping applications, by having helped develop a (rather simple) Django server app for geolocation using the Google Maps API.
