Zsj, your project got a lot of potential to work in Meego phones and
Meego tablet. You can just change PyQt4 library to Pyside later on.
I hope we can have simple edit in mapcanvas.

The viewer is still quite simple. The original purpose is just to make
style editors view the rendered map easily.
As for something like a map control, that depends a lot on
functionalities offered by mapnik bindings.
The QMapControl seems promising, and should be suitable for mobile
application. Actually, I decides to try it out in my later project.
