Hey all, I have completed my proposal and was hoping to get some feedback. I didn't copy and paste it in this email cause I don't want to spam everyone. But it's up on the GSoC site.
I have taken the time to try the tutorials and getting started features in the website and have two quick questions at the moment. - In http://trac.mapnik.org/wiki/GettingStarted, where would my file be in this command? I don't believe I have the file installed, where could I get it? lyr.datasource = mapnik.Shapefile(file= '/Users/path/to/your/data/world_borders') - I currently have OSGEO4W 0.7.0 installed on Windows 7. Would Linux be better? Would 0.7.1 be preferable? - For proposal, is there any criteria on milestones that the mentor prefer I set? I will continue the tutorials and playing with the program.
