Dear all, Could anyone explain the intricacies of the miminum-distance parameter as it seems to operate cross-layer? Don't want to have any overlapping labels either, though.
Currently, I am struggling to display town names and road numbers. Setting the minimum-distance on the ShieldSymbolizer of the road numbers controls the repetition of the highway shields. However, this this seems to push out the town names as well? Setting the minimum-distance on the ShieldSymbolizer of the town names controls the density of town names on the map, but this seems to push out the highway shields as well? My drawing order is to have the town names painted first and have the road numbers come after (although another posting suggested the reverse drawing order: http://old.nabble.com/Line-placed-shield-flood-td26695357.html#a26707890).
