Hello, Here is the announcement for Mapnik 2.0.1. Most notably, the official name of the Python module is mapnik and no longer mapnik2. Regarding MapOSMatic dependency on Mapnik, as we are using 2.1 features for Printable style sheet, we should stick for now to Mapnik-git.
Best regards, d. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Dane Springmeyer <d...@dbsgeo.com> Date: 2012/4/10 Subject: [mapnik] Mapnik v2.0.1 release To: map...@googlegroups.com I'm pleased to announce a small bugfix release: Mapnik 2.0.1. blog post: http://mapnik.org/news/2012/04/10/release-2.0.1/ This includes just a few critical bugfix backports from mainline master (2.1.x development). Most notably, this release is fully compatible with PostGIS 2.0, released last week. And it implements the naming rollback that will also be present in the upcoming 2.1 release whereby libmapnik2 is again libmapnik and in python "import mapnik2" is now again "import mapnik" (while "import mapnik2" will continue working for the time being with a deprecation warning). Those currently running Mapnik 0.7.x should seriously consider updating to this release. Those running Mapnik master from github, should NOT use this release, as master is well ahead and is the 2.1.x series. Those that have bugfixes you wished had been backported to 2.0.1 before this tag - do not worry. The 2.0.x branch is still open for bugfixes and if you submit them then we can promote a 2.0.2 release. Cheers, Dane
