MapOSMatic frontend was apparently created with Django 1.3.x, and doesn't really work with more recent versions, at least not with Django 1.5.x and above.
The pull request branch fixes all problems I've fond when running MapOSMatic on Ubuntu 15.10 and Debian ( with the distributions python-django package (version 1.7.9-1ubuntu5.4 / 1.7.7-1+deb8u3 )
