This is a patch against trunk bringing it in sync with hadoop-common once you
apply the HADOOP-6194 patch; there's some stuff in there that looks something
that should be split into separate patches (the connect timeout stuff); I'm
adding this to show what the patch looks like
# TestMiniMRChildTask fails, which looks like MAPREDUCE-839 is back on my
machine. odd.
# the TaskScheduler classes ought to be able to pick up the same lifecycle
methods/base class; would round things out.
