Alejandro: if you read my bug report a little more carefully, you'll see that
I wasn't suggesting that the valid characters in a named output name be
completely unrestricted, but rather that the valid character set be loosened a
bit. Give the feedback provided here, I don't see any reason why it couldn't
at least be relaxed to allow the characters [._-]. All of those characters a)
wouldn't break anything, anb b) are very commonly used in filenames, and so
really should be supported IMO.
