I am too overloaded with non-Hadoop work I don't get the time to get my my own
patches up to date with MAPREDUCE-279, let alone work on other things. Sorry
I recommend you get involved on the mapreduce-dev list, understand what's being
discussed (if you subscribe to the mapreduce-issues list you'll get all JIRA
changes), and so get involved in the bigger picture of where things are going
-and get to know the people who do know their way round the codebase better
than me.
