I updated the patch so that POM versions (and parent versions) are not
parameterized (e.g. ${hadoop-mapreduce.version}) and instead have have the
literal version number (e.g. 0.24.0-SNAPSHOT). There's more discussion of this
problem in HADOOP-7506.
With this change I was able to consume deployed JARs.
