Gone through the patch, some comments:
- Now that the configuration is getting added for NM white-list of envs, I
think we can close MAPREDUCE-2748 as duplicate and use this same configuration
for passing HADOOP_CONF_DIR, JAVA_HOME, HADOOP_COMMON_HOME, HADOOP_HDFS_HOME,
YARN_HOME to the containers. The defaults can still fall back to the values
from NM Env. What do you think?
- Need to add the new configuration to yarn-default.xml
- Also, helps to have a couple of tests for this to verify that the configured
values for the NM are getting passed to the containers.
