we've took a look into HADOOP-4242 and on old tests you've pointed on
(http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/hadoop/common/trunk/hadoop-mapreduce-project/src/contrib/gridmix/src/test/org/apache/hadoop/mapred/gridmix/?pathrev=1339656).
First of all I want to say that Alexey somehow googled these tests (now he does
not remember where he found these tests - but he remembers that somewhere on
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/hadoop/... ).
Tests behind your link look pretty much like those that Alexey found before.
But he is not 100% sure.
The comparison of current tests' status is something like:
- TestDistCacheEmulation.java: ported with small amount of removed cases (<10%)
and larger amount of added cases (>20%) ~ported and extended
- TestGridmixExitCodes.java: not ported but implemented few new tests for some
cases of TestGridmixExitCodes
- TestGridmixStatistics.java: not ported but implemented few new tests for some
cases of TestGridmixStatistics
- TestGridmixSubmission.java: ported with small amount of removed cases (<10%)
and larger amount of added cases (>20%) ~ported and extended
- TestSleepJob.java: ported with small amount of removed cases (<10%) and
larger amount of added cases (>20%) ~ported and extended
So, shortly, we can say that MAPREDUCE-4242 is partially covered by current
jira's patches.
Ported tests are: TestDistCacheEmulation, TestGridmixSubmission, TestSleepJob.
