Arijit Chattopadhyay commented on MAPREDUCE-6181:
-------------------------------------------------

I this issue fixed? In the trunk branch I could not see the code you
mentioned. Rather the job configuration has been done by the modern way.
{code}
Job job = new Job(conf, "word count");
 job.setJarByClass(WordCount.class);

> WordCount.java in mapreduce-examples.jar uses deprecated job object creation

> In the trunk branch the mapreduce-examples.jar contains a WordCount class. In
> which deprecated Job object has been used. So this Jira is to fix the
> deprecation warning.
> {code:title=WordCount.java|borderStyle=solid}
> // Currently : Job job = new Job(conf, "word count");
> Job job = Job.getInstance(conf);
> job.setJobName("word count");
> {code}
