Ravi Prakash updated MAPREDUCE-6220:
------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Status: Resolved (was: Patch Available)
Hi YangHao. Hadoop already runs on Windows. What Chris is referring to is
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-2139 . I understand changing the
partition of your datanodes may
not be trivial. Do you distribute mapred-site.xml to all your nodemanagers?
@Chris, I think YangHao may have been thinking of putting this option in there
for production clusters.
I'm going to resolve this as Won't Fix
> Provide option to suppress stdout of MapReduce task

> System.out is a ugly way to print log, and many times it would do harm to
> Hadoop cluster. So we can provide an option to forbid it
